ITWS Alumni Lindsay Poirier (Class of 2013)  traveled to Africa to test software that used indigenous culture to teach mathematical concepts. She's pursuing her Ph.D. at Rensselaer and continuing her research on Africa, focusing on the critical issues involved with moving Africa into the Information Age.

Welcome Back, and The Annual ITWS Picnic

Welcome (back) to RPI our ITWS freshmen, sophomores, juniors, seniors, and advanced studies students! As you attend your classes this semester, participate in extracurricular activities, and look for opportunities on and off campus - remember to have fun and enjoy your first, intermediate, or final fall semester of your college life! In other important news: don't forget to join us at the annual ITWS picnic!!! There will be free food and people to converse with. We also typically have a tug-of-war somewhere in there for everyone to join in on, so come integrate yourself in the ITWS student body. The picnic will be located behind the Lally building, between it and the VCC, at 5pm on Tuesday, September 12, 2017. Be there (and be maybe not a square)!
