Rich Palmer
I'm currently doing product development for a startup called RelSci. My focus for the past year has been on the front-end consumer facing site where I wear almost every hat - everything from marketing and illustration to writing the interface code and working with vendors. We are still in "stealth" mode as a pre-launch institutional startup, so I can't talk about specifics, but we have raised a significant amount of capital to get things going and are looking to launch by the end of the year .
Prior to that I had spent a little over a year working on my own startup between Silicon Valley and Denver, and before that I spent about 3 1/2 years at Capital IQ, which is a financial technology company in NYC. I was a Business Analyst working primarily on their Portfolio Analytics Suite as well as other tools for quantitative analytics.
I am an '07 graduate of RPI with a dual major in IT and in Economics, as well as a minor in Management. I also studied abroad at The University of Maastricht in the Netherlands.
